Today it was reported by gadget-giant Gizmodo.com that the new, unreleased iPhone 4G was, “found lost in a bar in Redwood City, camouflaged to look like an iPhone 3GS. We got it. We disassembled it. It’s the real thing, and here are all the details.” Convenient. Could it have been stolen? Of course. Could it have been “lost” by the Apple employee? You bet. Or, was this “accident” a brilliant marketing scheme by the highly talented Apple marketing team? What!?
One begins to wonder what a company with such high accolades over the past decade for the groundbreaking products it’s released how it will keep up with it’s own momentum. Well, nothing like a little grass-roots marketing ploy that ignites the kindling under those die-hard Apple fans and “fan-to-be’s”. It’s exciting enough when they release the news of a new product at their Annual Meeting, how much more exciting when a new product is “released” by being unveiled unintentionally by a one of the top tech news sites in the world. Ha!
Maybe we are looking into it a bit too much but we love creative marketing and the idea of this instance being an intentional ploy by our friends at Apple just makes us giddy. If you are looking for creative ways to get more business in the Fort Walton Beach, Destin, Navarre, Gulf Breeze, Pensacola, and surrounding Northwest Florida area then give us a call today, we have a “ploy” of our own to show you! Okay, maybe not quite as crazy…but we’ll help bring you new business.
